Most people encounter the word cipher and think of a code.
They think of a hidden message, an encrypted system, or information that cannot be understood without the proper key. This is one of the accepted definitions of a cipher. A cipher conceals meaning. It protects knowledge from those who lack the ability to decode it.
But there is another definition that is equally important.
A cipher is also a circle.
In many traditions, a cipher is a gathering of minds arranged in a circle, exchanging ideas, testing knowledge, and building understanding. The circle becomes a living network of information. Knowledge moves through it. Questions move through it. Insights move through it.

They look beyond the obvious.
The goal is not to invent mysteries where none exist. The goal is to develop the ability to recognize what is hidden in plain sight.

Without the circle, there is no key.
